YES, mostly. Simply put, the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) completion card you receive from us + State Written exam = Class M License.

After successfully completing the Beginner Rider Course, you will be handed an MSF completion card, signed by your Rider Coach.  

Next, make an appointment with the AR state police to take the written exam. After passing the written exam, you may show your completion card to the AR State Police to get a stamped piece of paper to take to the DMV (Dept. Of Finance and Admin) to get your “M” endorsement (motorcycle license).

After you reserve your seat, tuition is due within 48 hours or your reservation will be automatically cancelled. You can pay in person at John’s Honda in Hot Springs or simply click HERE to pay online.

AFTER BOOKING:

• Pay for your class!  To submit payment click HERE - Please include your Full Name or Confirmation Number in the Customer ID box. Payment must be submitted within 48 hours of registration or your reservation will be automatically cancelled.

• Start the eCourse (online course), which takes five hours to complete.  After you pay, you will be enrolled in the eCourse, and it must be completed before class starts, so don’t delay.

• Read and respond to the “Student Agreements.”

• Get the required riding gear.

• When it’s time for your class, pack a cooler as if you’re headed on a camping trip! We’ll be in a parking lot riding motorcycles all day.

• A DOT-approved helmet (Preferably one that is also full faced)

• Eye protection (separate and above what your helmet includes)

• Long sleeved shirt or jacket (Dressing in layers would mean that you bring both!)

• Long pants, such as jeans or leather (No thin material pants; No yoga pants)

• Over-the-ankle boots or shoes (preferably with sturdy construction and thick material – NO canvas shoes such as Chuck Taylors)

• Full fingered gloves (moto specific gloves preferred)

• Water, sunblock, rain gear, and snacks as necessary. There is no power, water, or building at the practice range, so you should assume that you need to bring everything to keep yourself protected from weather, keep yourself hydrated, and to keep your energy up. Prepare as if you plan to go camping.

*Please note that low speed maneuvers will be part of the course, which is more difficult on some motorcycles due to decreased turn radii.

When it is time for class, meet in the lobby of the Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport. You may park in the public airport parking area.

Don’t forget your gear and be on time! If you miss the basics, there is no way to catch up to the rest of the class.

A coach, or coaches will work with you and the other students to learn to ride safely through hands-on skill practice.  Each exercise is a building block that leads to the next one.

There are eight exercises on day one. Day two is six exercises followed by a skill evaluation. There are 10 minute breaks after every other exercise, and a one hour lunch usually between 11am to noon.

No. The state of Arkansas no longer issues permits!  Book our class and we’ll guide you through the process of getting your license from start to finish.

You also do not need to have taken the state’s written exam to sign up for the course.

Class is 2 full days (typically weekends) at the practice range, and a 5 hour eCourse that must be completed before class starts.  We will be outdoors ALL DAY, so be prepared.

You must be on time and complete all exercises to be eligible for the skills evaluation at the end of day 2.

Tuition is set at $375 for the Basic Rider Course (BRC).

No! New riders as well as experienced riders are welcomed! However, all new students need to be able to balance on a bicycle.

If you are already an experienced rider, there are still benefits to taking the course. Along with potential for insurance discounts, riders can also avoid trouble with law enforcement for riding without a proper license. In addition, there are techniques and good habits that are emphasized for safety, including collision avoidance and curve judgement.
